Terralith

Terralith v2.5.14 by Starmute (Stardust Labs) is the cornerstone of our Overworld generation. It adds 95+ new biomes, reshapes vanilla terrain into something far more dramatic, and scatters custom structures across the landscape -- all without using a single modded block.

Vanilla blocks, non-vanilla world

Every block Terralith places is from the base game. You do not need a resource pack or any mods to see everything it offers. If you can run vanilla Minecraft, you can experience Terralith.

Official recognition

Terralith was featured in an official Minecraft trailer by Mojang, making it one of the most well-known world generation datapacks in the community.

What Terralith Changes

Terralith touches almost every part of the Overworld experience:

  1. Biomes -- 95+ new biomes ranging from Lavender Forests and Sakura Groves to floating Skylands and volcanic craters. Vanilla biomes are kept but enhanced.
  2. Terrain -- Mountains that reach Y=290, mega ravines, natural arches, volcanoes, and smooth slab-based transitions between elevation changes.
  3. Structures -- 25+ custom structures including Fortified Villages, Mage Towers, frozen Spires with enchanted loot, and Giant Bee Hives that yield Royal Jelly.
  4. Caves -- 11 new cave biomes with distinct block palettes and surface-level clues to help you find them.
