Weapon Enchantments¶
These 24 enchantments apply to swords and axes. They add damage effects, crowd control, and utility to your melee combat. Remember, axes can receive sword enchantments thanks to ExcellentEnchants' extended item support.
Bane of Netherspawn¶
Deals extra damage to Nether mobs -- Piglins, Hoglins, Wither Skeletons, Blazes, Ghasts, and other Nether-native creatures. Works like Bane of Arthropods or Smite but for the Nether.
Blindness¶
Gives a chance to inflict Blindness on the target with each hit. Blinded enemies cannot see clearly, making it much harder for them to fight back or flee effectively.
Confusion¶
Inflicts Nausea on the target. The screen-warping effect disorients other players in PvP, making it difficult for them to aim or navigate.
Cure¶
Gives a chance to cure Zombie Villagers when you hit them. Instead of killing them, the enchantment triggers the curing process, saving you the trouble of using golden apples and weakness potions.
Village Restoration
This is incredibly useful for restoring zombie villages or rescuing villagers you find in the wild.
Curse of Death¶
A curse enchantment that gives you a chance to die when you attack. The risk increases based on certain conditions. Found as a curse on loot -- be careful what you pick up.
This Is a Curse
Unlike most weapon enchantments, this one hurts you. Check your gear carefully before using cursed weapons.
Cutter¶
Damages the target's armor durability on hit. Each strike has a chance to reduce the durability of the armor pieces your opponent is wearing, slowly breaking their defenses over the course of a fight.
Decapitator¶
Gives a chance to drop a mob or player head on kill. Higher levels increase the drop chance. Collect heads as trophies or use them for decoration.
Double Strike¶
Gives a chance to deal double damage on any hit. When it triggers, your attack hits twice as hard. Higher levels increase the trigger chance.
Exhaust¶
Drains the target's hunger on hit. Each strike depletes some of the target's food bar, forcing them to eat more frequently or risk starving in combat.
Ice Aspect¶
The cold counterpart to Fire Aspect. Hits have a chance to slow and freeze targets, applying Slowness and potentially freezing effects. Useful for keeping enemies from running away.
Infernus¶
An enhanced version of Fire Aspect. Sets targets on fire with higher damage and longer duration than standard Fire Aspect. The flames burn hotter and longer.
Nimble¶
Increases your attack speed while holding the weapon. Lets you swing faster, reducing the cooldown between full-damage hits. Particularly noticeable on axes, which normally have slow attack speed.
Paralyze¶
Gives a chance to stun targets on hit. Stunned enemies are briefly unable to move or act, leaving them completely vulnerable to follow-up attacks.
Rage¶
Increases your damage when you are at low health. The lower your health, the harder you hit. A high-risk, high-reward enchantment for players who thrive in dangerous situations.
Rocket¶
Launches targets into the air on hit. Enemies are sent upward, taking fall damage when they land. Higher levels send targets higher. Especially entertaining in PvP.
Swiper¶
Gives a chance to steal a random item from the target's inventory on hit. The stolen item drops on the ground near you. Works against both players and mobs.
Temper¶
Deals increasing damage with each consecutive hit on the same target. The first hit does normal damage, but each follow-up hit on the same enemy deals progressively more. Rewards aggressive, sustained combat.
Thrifty¶
Gives a chance for killed mobs to drop their spawn egg instead of (or in addition to) normal drops. A unique way to collect mob spawn eggs in survival mode.
Thunder¶
Gives a chance to strike the target with lightning on hit. The lightning bolt deals additional damage and can set the area on fire. Higher levels increase the trigger chance.
Vampire¶
Steals health from the target on hit. A portion of the damage you deal is returned to you as healing. Higher levels increase the lifesteal percentage.
Venom¶
Inflicts Poison on the target with each hit. The poison continues to deal damage over time after the initial strike, adding significant sustained damage to your attacks.
Village Defender¶
Deals extra damage when you are near a village. If you are within range of village boundaries, your attacks hit harder. Perfect for protecting villagers from raids and hostile mobs.
Wisdom¶
Grants bonus experience from mob kills. Each kill drops more XP orbs than usual. Higher levels increase the bonus, making this excellent for XP farming.
Wither¶
Inflicts the Wither effect on targets. Wither deals damage over time and turns the health bar black, making it harder for the target to gauge their remaining health.
