DnT End Structures

The End dimension features a compact but rewarding set of Dungeons & Taverns structures. The progression chain here is straightforward: find a lighthouse, follow its maps, raid castles, and ultimately claim vault-locked Elytra from End Ships.

Getting Started in the End

After defeating the Ender Dragon and bridging out to the outer End islands, your first goal is to locate an End Lighthouse. These serve the same purpose as Taverns in the Overworld -- they provide maps to the major structures.

End Lighthouses are tall, beacon-like towers scattered across the outer End islands. They function as the End's equivalent of Overworld Taverns:

  • Inside you'll find maps that lead to End Castles.
  • They're relatively safe to explore, with minimal or no hostile mobs.
  • Their height makes them visible from a distance -- look for a bright glow on the horizon.
Spotting Lighthouses

End Lighthouses emit light that's visible from far away. When bridging between End islands, stop occasionally and scan the skyline. The glow is distinctive against the dark End sky.

Endgame Dungeon

End Castles are among the most challenging structures on the server. Bring your best gear, Ender Pearls for emergency escapes, and Slow Falling potions to avoid fatal drops into the void.

A hybrid of a Stronghold and an End City, the End Castle is a sprawling fortress floating above the void. It combines the claustrophobic corridors of a Stronghold with the verticality and Shulker hazards of an End City.

Key features:

  • Multi-level layout with both interior corridors and exterior platforms.
  • Shulkers, Endermen, and other hostile mobs throughout.
  • Vaults containing three powerful enchantments:
    • Gravity -- arrows pull nearby mobs toward the point of impact.
    • Wax Wings -- negates the slow-glide damage penalty on Elytra.
    • Aerial's Bane -- bonus damage to airborne targets.
Gravity Enchantment

Gravity is one of the most unique enchantments in DnT. When your arrow hits, it creates a pull effect that drags nearby mobs toward the impact point. This is incredibly effective against groups of enemies and for pulling mobs off ledges into the void.

After clearing an End Castle, look for charts that lead to End Ships.

End Ships

Vault-Locked Elytra

Unlike vanilla End Ships, the Elytra in DnT End Ships are locked behind vaults. You need to clear the ship and open the vault to claim your wings.

DnT End Ships are enhanced versions of the vanilla End Ship. They float near End Castles and outer islands, carrying the most coveted item in the End: Elytra.

What to expect:

  • Shulker guardians protecting the ship's interior.
  • A vault that must be unlocked to access the Elytra.
  • The Elytra may come pre-enchanted with Wax Wings, which negates the slow-glide damage you normally take when flying at low speeds.
Wax Wings Elytra

If you get lucky and find an Elytra with Wax Wings already applied, you've hit the jackpot. This enchantment removes the irritating damage you take when gliding slowly, making Elytra flight significantly more comfortable. Not every End Ship Elytra has this enchantment, so check before you equip it.
