Detailed guide to all structures added by the Yggdrasil datapack.

Major Structures

Asgard

The grandest structure in Yggdrasil, themed around the realm of the Norse gods.

  • Treasure: Gungnir (legendary trident), Midas Book
  • Keys: Asgard Key, Ominous Asgard Key
  • Lore: 8 main chapters + 6 additional documents covering the origins of the Yggdrasil simulation, Dr. Alexander Reed's creation, and the truth behind the gods
  • Vaults: Normal and Ominous vaults requiring their respective keys
  • Trial Spawners: Custom mob spawners with unique enchanted book drops

Alfheim Tree

A massive tree structure based on the realm of the Light Elves.

  • Keys: Alfheim Key, Ominous Alfheim Key
  • Vaults: Normal and Ominous vaults
  • Features: Barrel loot, decorated pots, shulker boxes with rare loot
  • Trial Spawners: Custom spawners with consumable and key drops

Helheim

A dark underground structure themed around the realm of the dead. Contains the most extensive lore in the datapack.

  • Treasure: Rune of Reva (fox companion)
  • Keys: Helheim Key, Ominous Helheim Key
  • Lore: 10 main chapters + 3 quest documents — tells the story of Hel's discovery that the game world's inhabitants are conscious beings
  • Quests:
    • The Collection of Chronicles — Gather scattered lore books
    • The Assembly of Secrets — Place chronicles on pedestals
    • The Origins of the Familiar — Find and summon the fox companion using the Rune of Reva

Vanaheim

A nature-themed structure based on the realm of the Vanir gods.

  • Treasure: Vanir Blessing (enchanted book)
  • Keys: Vanaheim Key, Ominous Vanaheim Key
  • Lore: 8 main chapters + 2 special chapters (Secret: The Dark Crystal, Record: The Moon Stone Cache)
  • Features: Potion ingredients, nature-themed loot, library section

Asflors

A village with hidden secrets and multiple layers of puzzles.

  • Treasure: The Authentic Asflors Sword (hidden), Asflors Sword (fake, on display), Rune of Rupture
  • Keys: Traveler Key, Ominous Traveler Key
  • Lore: 7 chapters + Chronicles of the Trials, Last Villager's Journal, Secret Chapters 8 & 9, Timeless One's Journal, Fragmented Pages
  • Secret: The Ominous Traveler Key hint says "my treasure is behind the fake asflors sword" — break the wall behind the displayed sword to find the real one
  • Rune of Rupture: Used to access the Runic Dimension from the Runic Island

Runic Labyrinth

A complex labyrinth created by the Dark Elves, located in a void dimension.

  • Treasure: Dark Elven Bow, Twilight of Yggdrasil Bow, Apple of Rân
  • Keys: Labyrinth Key, Ominous Labyrinth Key
  • Lore: 9 Dark Elf documents including chronicles, journals, and survival notes
  • Features: Black and white shulker loot variants, room-specific loot (bed, fruit, library, miner, nature)

Cubeoid

A geometric vault structure with a simpler layout.

  • Keys: Cubeoid Key (no ominous variant)
  • Vaults: Normal vault only
  • Features: Trial spawner loot

These smaller structures contain maps and basic loot that lead players to the major structures.

Runic Fracture

A special floating island structure that serves as the gateway to the Runic Labyrinth.

  • Lore: Journal of the Transcendent, Hidden Truth of the Transcendent
  • Features: The island floats due to Dark Elf magic; only a "powerful" person can enter
  • Story: Home to a being who has surpassed the power of the gods and achieved true immortality
