Terralith

Terralith (v2.5.14) by Starmute / Stardust Labs adds 95+ new biomes and completely overhauls Overworld terrain generation. It was featured in the official Minecraft: Java & Bedrock Edition trailer.

What It Changes

  • 84 new surface biomes and 11 new cave biomes
  • Mountains reaching up to Y=290
  • Smooth terrain transitions using slabs and layered snow
  • Desert dunes, mesa arches, dramatic canyons, and cliff overhangs
  • 25+ custom structures including Fortified Villages, Mage Towers, and Spires
  • All built with vanilla blocks only — no new block types

Ore Distribution

Vanilla ore distribution is unchanged. However, some Terralith biomes have thematic ore boosts: emeralds in Emerald Peaks, redstone in Scarlet Mountains, diamonds in Volcanic Crater.
