Incendium

Incendium (v5.4.10) by Starmute / Stardust Labs is a complete Nether overhaul adding 8 new biomes, 9 structures, 30+ custom mobs, 29 custom items, and a Touhou-inspired final boss.

New Biomes

Biome Description
Ash Barrens Ashes covering old lava lakes, home to the Forbidden Castle
Infernal Dunes Red-hot sand dunes with smoking craters, home to the Infernal Altar
Inverted Forest Trees grow upside-down from the ceiling — a 3D biome above other biomes
Quartz Flats Gleaming quartz landscape with frozen lava seas, home to the Sanctum
Toxic Heap Nuclear wasteland with poisonous sludge, home to the Nether Reactor
Volcanic Deltas Extreme magma and basalt terrain
Weeping Valley Eerie dark biome with howling winds and distant ghast cries
Withered Forest Ancient battlefield, haunted by Restless Spirits

The Nether height is increased from 128 to 192 blocks, and 3D biomes allow different biomes at different Y-levels.

Structures

Forbidden Castle

The most complex jigsaw structure in Minecraft — 227 unique pieces assembled differently every time. Contains dozens of room types (armory, library, laboratory, throne room, crypt, etc.) with custom Piglin variants as enemies.

Key loot: Blazing Hatchet, Chilling Blade, Greatsword of Sacrifice, Withersbane, Voltaic Trident, Scarlet Dagger, Sentry's Wrath, Multiplex Crossbow, Hefty Pickaxe, potions

Sanctum

A massive quartz church built by Illagers over a destroyed Bastion. A mining fatigue curse prevents block-breaking until you kill three Sanctum Guardians.

Three floors of content:

  • Main Floor — Church layout with bells, towers, connected passages
  • Basement — War Table, Daybreaker maze (floor collapse trap), coffin fireball trap, ravager-guarded storage, torture room, portal to Overworld
  • Mausoleum — Infinite corridor trap, hidden crypt with item-frame lock puzzle

Key loot: Daybreaker (sword), Ragnarok (bow), Holy Wrath (crossbow), Scroll of Returning, Death Potion (all negative effects — extremely rare)

Infernal Altar

A dome with miniature Nether biome representations. Throw a Nether Star on the lectern to summon the Hovering Inferno boss.

Other Structures

Structure Location Description
Nether Reactor Toxic Heap Source of biome's pollution, guarded by Radiation Director
Abandoned Tower Quartz Flats Contains rescuable Ghastling pet companions
Quartz Kitchen Quartz Flats Guarded by Torte the skeleton chef
Piglin Village Various 42-piece jigsaw village with passive Piglin NPCs
Pipeline Various Industrial pipe facility with Prime Sentries (carry Totems of Undying)
Ruined Lab Withered Forest Spherical lab with buffed Wither Skeletons

Boss: Hovering Inferno

Stat Value
Health 700 HP (350 hearts)
Armor 20 defense points
Summon Throw Nether Star on Infernal Altar lectern
Re-summonable Yes

Phase 1 — Spell Cards

The boss teleports around the arena using 13 different attack types in randomized combinations: shulker bullets, fireballs, fire patterns, summoning minions, evoker fangs, Desert Blazes. Attacks grow more complex over time.

Phase 2 — Last Stand

The boss becomes invulnerable and slowly loses health on its own. Two rotating lasers appear (one at feet, one at head — crouch to dodge). Shulker bullets fill the arena. Your only option is to survive.

Boss drops (1 of 5): Firestorm, Trailblazer (bow), Prismatic Shield, Necrotic Shield, Infernal Feather

Surviving Phase 2 rewards an Infernal Piece — used at a Smithing Table to upgrade Elytra with armor (Infernal Wings).
